Lee Silverstein, DDS, MS, FACD, FICD, FICOI is an Associate Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on the topics of periodontics, dental implantology, bone grafting and suturing. Having had over 100 journal articles and 8 textbook chapters published, he has contributed extensively to the literature available on these topics.
Dr. Silverstein is privileged to be on the Editorial Board of Practical Periodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry, Dentistry Today, Inside Dentistry, Functional Esthetics and Restorative Dentistry, Collaborative Dental Techniques, and Academy of General Dentistry Scientific Magazine. Additionally, he has been granted Fellowships in the Pierre Fauchard Academy, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Silverstein is the author of the highly acclaimed textbook entitled "Principles of Dental Suturing: A Complete Guide to Surgical Closure." and has just completed his new book entitled "Principles of Soft Tissue Surgery: A Complete Step-by-Step Procedural Guide" available in 2007. Dr. Silverstein maintains a private practice at Kennestone Periodontics in Marietta, Georgia.
Emma Galvan, BBM, DDS graduated with a Bachelor in Business Management in 1990 from Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University in 1998 with her Doctor in Dental Surgery. Dr. Galvan is on the Board for the Maryland Academy of General Dentistry. She serves as Co-chair for the Continuing Education Committee and is also Recording Secretary. She is currently working towards her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Galvan is in private practice in Baltimore, Maryland.
Peter Shatz, DDS, FICD, FICOI is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. He has lectured nationally and internationally on topics of periodontics and dental implantology. He has had numerous journal articles and textbook chapters published, and has contributed extensively to the literature available on these topics. Dr. Shatz is the past President of the Atlanta Chapter of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and is the editor for the Northwestern District Dental Society. He is also a consultant to the Georgia Board of Dentistry. He maintains a private practice limited to periodontal care and dental implants in Atlanta, Georgia at Kennestone Periodontics, P.C.
Raymond van Gennip, DDS, MSD, FICOI, FDOCS holds dental degrees from both the University of Amsterdam,The Netherlands and Case Western Reserve University. He obtained his Masters in Periodontics in 1997 also from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has extensive restorative and surgical experience in implantology, he is a graduate of the Pankey Institute. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is also a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the European Federation of Periodontists and past Assistant Professor at Howard University. He maintains a private practice in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Kian Djawdan DMD, DICOI, MAGD, MIPS graduated from Tufts School of Dental Medicine 1992 . After receiving his DMD degree, he completed a two year General Practice residency program at the VA Hospital and Medical College of Virginia. In the second year of his residency he focused on IV sedation, surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. In 2004 he completed the Surgical and the prosthetic component of the Mish International Implant Institute and is earned a fellowship from the Mish Institute. He has earned a Fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and Mastership from the Implant Prosthetic Section (IPS) of the ICOI. He holds a fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Presently Dr. Djawdan is in private practice in Annapolis Maryland with the practice focused in surgical placement and restoration of Dental implants.
Suzanne Timmer, RDH was born in the San Francisco area. She has been in dentistry since 1988 when she worked as a chair-side assistant. Soon she was managing a dental practice from the front of the house. Knowing her passion was with patients she returned to school and in 1997 she received her degree in Dental Hygiene from the Medical College of Georgia. Suzanne holds licenses in; California, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, and Maryland. Suzanne has worked in General, Orthodontics and Periodontal practices. She has worked with consultant groups on an as needed basis doing in office training. Suzanne works both in private practice as a dental hygienist and assists ADE Seminars with coordinating and facilitating our meetings.
